Artem Lyapin

A multidisciplinary artist who has developed his own system of symbols based on personal experience. He works with carpet weaving, lace making, objects, and drawing. One of his main themes is duality and perceptual contradictions, which he embodies using contrasting images and materials.

Artem Lyapin was born in 1996 in Shelekhov (Irkutskaya Oblast). He graduated an artist and teacher from Irkutsk State University (2023). From 2020 to 2022 he worked as a lighting and prop designer at Aistenok Irkutsk Regional Puppet Theater. He was a resident at Garage Studios (2024) and Winzavod Open Studios (2024). He won the Siberian SCAN Award in the nomination Discovery of the Year (2024).
