Narkomfin × Mineral Weather

Narkomfin × Mineral Weather

A collection of jewelry by Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and the jewelry brand Mineral Weather

Garage continues to work with Russian designers and creative collectives, inviting them to design gifts for sale at the Narkomfin Building.

Mineral Weather’s collection was inspired by the interiors of the building: the brass and porcelain jewelry pieces are based on the Narkomfin Building’s cast-iron radiators and the Luzette lamp designed by German architect, artist, and founder of industrial design Peter Behrens in the early twentieth century. The collection includes stud earrings, a mono earring, a ring, and two pendants.

The Narkomfin Building is an institutional and research project of Garage Museum of Contemporary Art. The Museum’s research focuses on the architectural significance of the building and the histories of its creators and residents. Based on this research, Garage produces tours, publications, and various public and educational projects inspired by the iconic building.

Mineral Weather is a jewelry project by Moscow artists Sasha Olkhovsky and Anya Pavlova, founded in 2011. The brand finds inspiration in nature and its patterns and anthropomorphic and antique objects.
