About Us: Young Photography in China

Grappling with sweeping social changes during the past thirty years of China’s global rise, young artists have explored and crafted new identities through photography. While their works range across subjects—capturing bustling cityscapes and quiet landscapes, framing exuberant hopefulness and melancholic doubt—their experimentation speaks to a generational need for new aesthetic tools in an uncertain world. Featuring 150 photographs from the collections of the Alexander Tutsek-Siftung, About Us offers a vibrant and in-depth survey of contemporary Chinese photography.
