Roberto Calasso

Roberto Calasso is an Italian author, translator, and publisher. He received a degree in English Literature from the University of Rome. In 1962, Calasso began working at the prestigious Milan publishing house Adelphi, where he has been owner and chief editor since 1971. Professor of European Comparative Literature at the University of Oxford (2004). Author of Italian translations of books by Friedrich Nietzsche, Franz Kafka, Karl Kraus, etc.
