Pascal Gielen

Pascal Gielen is a sociologist, director of the Arts in Society research center at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands) and the editor-in-chief of the Arts in Society series of publications. He has written several books on contemporary art, sociology of art, and politics in culture, including The Ethics of Art, 2014; Creativity and Other Fundamentalisms, 2013; and Being an Artist in Post-Fordist Times, 2009.
