Michael Charlesworth

Michael Charlesworth is an art historian whose areas of expertize include British and European painting of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the history of photography, landscape painting and drawing, and the history of gardens. He is the author of Landscape and Vision in Nineteenth-Century Britain and France (2008), The Gothic Revival 1720–1870 (2002) and The English Garden (1993).
