John Seabrook is a staff writer at The New Yorker since 1993. He is the author of Nobrow: The Culture of Marketing, the Marketing of Culture (2000), Flash of Genius and Other True Stories of Invention (2008), and The Song Machine: Inside the Hit Factory (2015). He has taught narrative nonfiction writing at Princeton University and lives in New York City.
