Artur Klinov

b. 1965

Artur Klinov is an artist, writer, architect, and publisher. In the 1980s he was an activist for Belorussian non-conformist art, credited as the founder of the unofficial art group "Community BLO" (1987) and the Belorussian Association of Contemporary Art (1998). Since 2002 he has worked as publisher and editor-in-chief of pARTisan, a magazine on contemporary Belorussian culture. He is author of the novels Shalom. Military Novel (2011) and Glass Containers (2013) and has been a film director and script writer since 2009. In 2011 Klinov represented Belarus at the 54th Venice Biennale.
