Renaissance 1420-1600. (La Grande Parade)

The origin of Renaissance painting is in Italy. With the return to antiquity, a worldview that allowed man to determine his own existence was revived. In painting, new image themes were developed as well as a new form of reality-oriented representation. This naturalism, in turn, was significantly influenced by the Dutch painting of around 1450. With the transition from the 15th century to the 16th century, Rome followed Florence as the center of the Renaissance. Shortly thereafter, the new style also radiated to other European countries. In northern Europe, the Renaissance combined with the late-Middle Ages currents, which also put earthly existence at the center of attention.
